1170 Sacramento Featured in SFis
January 8, 2008

One of my favorite buildings, 1170 Sacramento, located at the top of Nob Hill, was featured this month in SFis, the SF Chronicle’s full-color style magazine.
Carolyne Zinko’s piece, “Cloudlike Abode High Above Sacramento Street,” takes us into the dreamy 15th floor apartment of architect Andrew Skurman and his wife Francoise.

Skurman transformed the 2,000 square foot residence into a one-bedroom apartment with a huge living area to showcase their collection of art, which includes large paintings by Alessandro Twombly and Damien Hirst. They worked with Orlando Diaz-Azcuy in the design, which features lacquered walls and silver leaf ceilings.

For those who are interested in living at 1170 Sacramento, a similarly sized condo as this on a higher floor sold in April 2007 for approximately $2.3 million.
