733 Front Street

Thanks to the folks who are plugged in to SocketSite.com I have some details on the new development at 733 Front Street on the Barbary Coast.

While I’ve not been dazzled so far by the office-to-condo conversion buildings in SF, this project looks like it will be of pretty high quality. Below is a photo of a kitchen, with Thermador and Bosch appliances and Carrera Marble counters.

The seven-story building consists of 69 condos: 3 junior one-bedrooms, 43 one-bedrooms, 23 two-bedrooms, and 39 deeded parking spaces. Preliminary pricing is from $550,000 to $2,400,000.

The residences will feature Ann Sacks tile in the bathrooms and limestone counters; hardwood floors in the living area; carpeting in the bedrooms. Also high-speed internet wiring, and video link security.

The building will have a gym, storage lockers, a rooftop terrace and a rooftop recreation room.

The biggest draw of this building is its location, which is a fantastic alternative to South of Market for those who are interested in upscale condo living. You’ll find it’s very close to the Embarcadero, the financial district, North Beach, and Telegraph Hill. It’s a very pleasant, low-key area, with tree-lined streets and little antique shops, art galleries and restaurants.
